NZMEA Immigration Workshop
The NZMEA is increasingly receiving reports from members having difficulties in dealing with Immigration New Zealand on a day-to-day basis. It is almost as if Immigration NZ have been rattled by the immigration debate happening in the run-up to the election and are responding by being overzealous when it comes to applying existing laws and regulations.
The purpose of this workshop will be to exchange insights and experiences with other manufacturers who have been dealing with these issues. We'll be joined by Carole Peterson from Hellers, who has years of hands-on experience in dealing with immigration matters, and Rachael Mason, immigration expert and lawyer from Lane Neave.
We are in discussions with Immigration NZ, who tell us that they want to help remove "administrative" obstacles to immigration, so the workshop will also allow us to collate information about unsatisfactory practice and feed it back to Immigration NZ - anonymously, if that's your choice, or referring to your specific example.
The session will be run as a round-table, encouraging peer-to-peer learning and includes pizza and drinks.
Numbers are limited and bookings are essential.
